Mental Health & Wellness

Healing begins
when you find
your way home.

"Take our hand, we'll walk with you."

Journey Home Center for Healing and Transformation offers compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for individuals, groups, and families. You don't have to walk this path alone.

"The wound is the place where the light enters you."

— Rumi

A sanctuary for healing & transformation

Journey Home Center was founded on a vision rooted in something deeper than symptom relief: to help individuals heal and transform their pain as a means of reconnecting with what matters most: with God, with purpose, with others, and with themselves. We believe that true healing is not merely the absence of suffering, but a journey toward wholeness and connection with something greater than oneself.

Dr. AbdulAziz Syed, DSW, LCSW, CSAT brings over a decade of clinical experience, drawing from an eclectic, spiritually integrated approach that honors the full complexity of the human experience, mind, body, and soul.

Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges, recovering from trauma or addiction, or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, we meet you exactly where you are and start our journey towards healing for you.

Healing is a journey, not a destination

At Journey Home Center, we believe that true healing is holistic, encompassing the mind, body, and spirit, and that the deepest healing comes through reconnecting with something greater than oneself. Our work is grounded in the Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP) model, which understands the human being through the Islamic tradition and weaves the various parts of the person, including their cognition (ʿAql), behavioral inclinations (Nafs), spirit (Rūḥ), emotions (Iḥsās), and other dimensions, into treatment.

You are the expert on your own experience, your hopes, your dreams, and your internal world, and you are also still learning how to make the changes you seek. Our role is to be the experts in creating a healing and growing space, walking alongside you as a guide and companion. Together, you are in the driver's seat, and we are riding beside you on the road that leads home.

We draw from an eclectic blend of approaches including the TIIP Model, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Perspectives, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy, woven together to create a care plan that is uniquely yours.
